Today's Instrumental Metal Track is Marty Friedman auditioning for Megadeth before joining the band in 1990 and creating the definitive Megadeth lineup. The song their are playing is an instrumental version of Wake Up Dead off of their 1986 album Peace Sells... but Who's Buying. Marty plays great here but it doesn't really show his true talent. Still a cool video though.

Today's Metal Track is Eye Of The Beholder off of Metallica's legendary 1988 album ...And Justice For All. Such great riffs on this track. I broke out the guitar the other day and was able to get halfway through it after a little practice. Need to play more.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Cum On Feel The Noize by Quiet Riot

Sadly, drummer Frankie Banali, the last remaining member of Quiet Riot, passed away today at the age of 68. In their honor, today's Metal Track is Cum On Feel The Noize off of their classic 1983 album Metal Health. While most associate the song with Quiet Riot, it is actually cover song. The English band Slade originally recorded the song in 1973. The Quiet Riot version is a little heavier but man do Kevin DuBrow and Noddy Holder sound almost the same.
