Scott's Metal Track of the Day - The Chant by Gojira

Just finished watching the new Godzilla vs. Kong movie with the family and Gojira released a new video today so today's Metal Track is The Chant off of their album, Fortitude, which also dropped today. I'm more of a fan of band Gojira the band than the Gojira movies.

Today's Earth Day Metal Track is Reclamation by Lamb of God. It's one of my favorite LOG songs. It is the closing track off of their 2009 album Wrath which won Best Album at the 2009 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

Today's Metal Track is a cover of Pink Floyd's Run Like Hell by the all-female Canadian metal band Kittie. This is off of their 2001 album Oracle. 

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Wilting In The Light by Light The Torch

Today's Metal Track is brand new music by Light The Torch. In case you didn't know, former Killswitch Engage vocalist, Howard Jones, went on to join Devil You Know in 2012 and they later changed their name to Light The Torch. Wilting In The Light is off of their upcoming album, You Will Be The Death Of Me, set to be released June 25. Listen to this with Adam Satterwhite today during our short weekly hangouts while Jack is at guitar lessons.

Today's Easy Like Morning Track is Key Largo by Bertie Higgins. This is off of his 1982 album Just Another Day In Paradise. 

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - I Against I by Lamb of God featuring Fever 333

Today's Metal Track is a cover of Bad Brains' I Against I by Lamb of God featuring Fever 333. The original was released as the title track on punk rock band's 1986 album by the same name. 

From wiki: "The title I Against I presumably refers to the common Rastafarian phrase I and I, which is used in place of the first-person plural (i.e. we) to signify the union of the speaker, audience, and Jah (God) in love and peace."

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - VI Kings by WoR

Today's Metal Track comes from Raleigh's own WoR. VI Kings is off of their debut album, Prisoners, which was released last year. Looks like this was recorded at Lincoln Theater. Guitarist Ben Kaiser was an offensive lineman for NC State until 2018. Go Pack!

Red Fang is back with another hilarious video and outstanding track. This time they blow their music video budget on a katana sword and they totally get their money's worth. Arrows is the title track off of their upcoming album. Thanks to Mike Thompson for making me aware of the release.

Today's Metal Track is Lifer by the supergroup Down. This is the lead single off of their 1995 debut album NOLA. Bandmembers include Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity) and Kirk Windstein (Crowbar). 

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Hypersonic by Liquid Tension Experiment

Today's Instrumental Metal Track is a brand new track from the ridiculously talented supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment. The band is mostly Dream Theater members with King Crimson's Tony Levin on the chapman stick. Hypersonic is off of their upcoming album Liquid Tension Experiment 3 which will be released later this month.

Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is We Just Disagree by Dave Mason. This is off of his 1977 album Let It Flow. It was written by Jim Krueger who also plays guitar and sings harmony during the chorus. Was jamming this by the fire last night with by brother-in-law Chris Foster.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Torn Apart by Avatar

Today's Metal Track is Torn Apart by the Swedish band Avatar. The whole reversed video effect is pretty cool, especially the headbanging. This is off of their 2012 album Black Waltz.
