Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Civil War by Guns N Roses
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land
And
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - In Hell I'll Be in Good Company cover by Leo Moracchioli
Today's Metal Track is a cover of The Dead South's In Hell I'll Be in Good Company by Leo Moracchioli. Both versions are great and fun. Leo's silly outro at the end might be the best part. Thanks to Josh Griffin for sharing. Leo specializes in metal covers so if you like it, check out Frog Leap Studios.

Scott's Wild, Easy Like Sunday Morning Metal Track - In Blur by Deafheaven
August 20th was big day for metal. I had three options for Metal Track that day. Dimebag's birthday, BTBAM's Colors II release, and Deafheaven's Infinite Granite Release. Dimebag took priority and I followed up with BTBAM early the following week. Then after listening to Deafheaven's Infinite Granite, I didn't know what to do with it. Is it a Metal Track, Weekend Wildcard, Easy Like Sunday Morning? Well, I'm just going to post one today and let you decide.
Today's Wild, Easy Like Sunday Morning Metal Track is In Blur from the black metal band's shoegaze album Infinite Granite. This album is an extreme departure from their usual black metal style. They've always had elements of shoegaze intertwined with screaming vocals and heavy riffs but this album is almost 100% clean vocals. And I'm okay with that and think it's a great album.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Hollow Bones by Painted Wives
Like Alice In Chains? Like Metal? Then you'll love today's Metal Track by Painted Wives. Hollow Bones is off of their 2016 album Obsessed with the end. They've got a lot great material but I think this is still my favorite. Can't wait to see what Derek Eglit and the guys have in store for us in the future!
