Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Silent Lucidity by Queensryche. It's about a person having a lucid dream where they realize they are in a dream and can control parts of the dream. Seems like they could have fit this song somewhere in the soundtrack for Inception!
Today's Metal Track is absolute beast by Trivium. Becoming the Dragon is off of their 2006 album The Crusade. The whole song is great but my goodness what a final minute and half with the breakdown, the guitar solo, and that sweet bass solo.
Today's Instrumental Metal Track is a live performance of Soothsayer by Buckethead. This is off of his 2006 album Crime Slunk Scene. Those last 3 minutes are just magical.

New Metallica and Overkill albums dropping on they same day. Wow, what a day for Thrash Metal fans like myself! Two of my favorite bands I grew up with as a kid. Today's Metal Track is Scorched by thrash metal legends Overkill. This is the title track which was also just released hours ago with album. Blitz is an absolute treasure. Still just as amazing as he was in the 80s.
Today's Instrumental Metal Track is Enter the Hall by Revocation. This is the opening track off of their 2009 album Existence is Futile. Great track. Thanks to Erich Hoppe for the recommendation.
