Today's Instrumental Metal Track is Don't Stay Here by the German band Frames. I was very confused when I was researching this track because there are lyrics in the YouTube comments and even lyrics posted on lyrics websites. It turns out fans just made up words to fit the song and people liked them so much they became somewhat unofficial lyrics. Weird but cool.

This is off of their 2012 album In Via.

Easy Like Sunday Morning Track - Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina

Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina. This is off of the duo's 1971 debut album Sittin' In. Loggins wrote it for his brother Danny as a gift for the birth of his son, Colin. Anne Murray covered it the following year and became a top 10 song.

This Weekend's Wildcard is a cover of Buddy Holly and the Crickets' It's So Easy by Linda Ronstadt. The song was originally released in 1958 by The Crickets but it failed to chart. However Linda Ronstadt's version was a top 5 hit in 1977.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Deadhead by Devin Townsend Project

I still can't believe it took me until 2012 to really discover Devin Townsend. I laughed at his skullet during his Strapping Young Lad hears. Heck, I even dressed up for Halloween as the cartoon character based off of his image, Pickles from Dethklok, before I really knew who he was. I think he is one of the most talented individual artist in the business. He's funny and creative, writes beautiful music, and can belt some of the great vocals you'll ever hear. Today's Metal Track is just a small sample of his greatness.

This is Deadhead off his 2003 album Accelerated Evolution performed live in 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Enjoy!

Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - Challenger: Part Two - A Swan Song by We Lost the Sea

We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them
as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye
and "slipped the surly bonds of earth" to "touch the face of God."

Today's Instrumental Metal Track is a beautiful track by the Australian band We Lost the Sea. Challenger: Part Two - Swan Song is the closing track off of their 2015 album Departure Songs. This two part song pays homage to the Challenger explosion and the astronauts who lost their lives. The song and album ends with the emotional words of President Ronald Reagan honoring the brave astronauts who paid the ultimate price in the name of exploration and progress of mankind.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Looking Glass by Valient Thorr

Today's Metal Track is Looking Glass by Valient Thorr. This is off of their 2016 album Old Salt. Nice cameo by Bonesnapper from Gwar at the end!

These guys are from Greenville, NC but it looks like this was filmed in Richmond based on the church. They've filmed some of their videos in Raleigh so I was looking to see if I recognized anything.
