Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Untethered Angel by Dream Theater

Was listening to some old school Dream Theater this morning and it reminded me to post something from their new album I had actually thought I posted this when it first came out but apparently I didn't. This is just as good as anything they've every done. Heavy and technical.

Untethered Angel is off of their album Distance Over Time which came out back in February.

This Weekend's Wildcard is I Like to Rock off of their 1980 album Harder...Faster. They close out the song with a combination of riffs from Day Tripper by the Beatles and Satisfaction by the Stones.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Miracle Man by Ozzy Osbourne

Today's Metal Track is Miracle Man off of Ozzy Osbourne's 1988 album Miracle Man. This song calls out televangelist Jimmy Swaggart for being a hypocrite. Swaggart had been a longtime opponent of Ozzy who was openly critical of his music and his performances. When Swaggart was caught in a prostitution scandal in 1988, Ozzy couldn't help himself. Swaggart would later be caught in another prostitution scandal in 1991.
