Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 5

So, this band puts out some pretty weird stuff.  If you don't believe me, watch the video for Agoraphobia!  However, this song is pretty catchy and in the vibe of the whole modern mood motif.  I just love alliteration!

Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 4 Part 2

If you haven't heard of Purity Ring then you are one pathetic loser!!!!  Just kidding!  No one has heard of these guys before, that's why I'm posting them here.  This is a really good song.

Purity Ring - Fineshrine

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Forty Six & 2 by Tool

Today's Meal Track comes from Tool. This song relates to the Jungian theory and different chromosome compositions that impact our consciousness. Our current level is 44 + 2 which is believed to be a stepping stone in evolution to the next level of 46 + 2.

According to Drunvalo Melchizadek, these two additional chromosomes change everything. Pretty deep stuff. Read more about geometrically constructed 'morpho genetic grids' and their relative levels of consciousness here.

Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 4

I dare anyone to listen to this and tell me that this isn't the best song you've heard all day.  Sure, it may be 8 in the morning, but this is perfect for getting your day started right and with a giant smile on your face.

Com Truise - Brokendate

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - I Don't Know by Ozzy Osbourne

Today's Metal Track is I Don't Know. I mean, I do know and the name of the song is "I Don't Know".

This is the opening track on Ozzy's comeback solo album, Blizzard of Ozz. Ozzy was a real mess after being kicked out of Black Sabbath and then Randy Rhoads came along and resurrected his career.

Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 3

Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 2 Part 2

M83 is incredible.  Nuff said.  Oh, and also because it's too hard to tell which of these songs is better!

M83 - Midnight City

M83 - Reunion

Kyle Stories - Ole' Nessie

We convinced Kyle to ride the Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens one year. He started crying after the first drop off and ended up peeing his pants. He now wears depends to theme parks and any place that has escalators.

Stone's Mood Music Tour! Day 2

How can one not think this is awesome??

I Break Horses - Denial

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Oroborus by Gojira

Today's Metal Track is brought to you by our environmentally conscious friends from France, Gojira. This is the opening track off of their 2008 album, The Way of All Flesh.

The Oroborus is the ancient Egyptian symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its on tail. It is a symbol of self-reflexivity or cyclicality, in the sense of regeneration or constantly recreating one's self.

Stone's Mood Music Tour!

Ok, turn down the lights after a long day at work and get ready to be at peace with some tracks from the most soul soothing indy artists that you have never heard of... until now.  Also good music if ya got a laaaady ensnared.

Washed Out - Feel It All Around

Kyle Stories - Thumb Wrestling

When Kyle was younger he liked to go #2 in the woods and use leaves for toilet paper. Well one time he used a poison ivy leaf and well, let's just say we didn't want to play thumb wrestling with him for awhile.

Instrumental Mondays: Unearth - Big Bear and the Hour of Chaos

This track is from the guys in Unearth.  Unearth was part of the wave of metal bands coming out in the late 90s early 2000's.  Bands like Killswitch Engage, All that Remains, Shadows Fall, and the Red Chord all formed about the same time and in some cases switched band members numerous times amongst one another.

This track is an instrumental track from III: In The Eyes Of Fire.

Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - Jordan by Buckethead

Today's Instrumental Metal track comes from everyone's favorite KFC-bucket-wearing guitarist, Buckethead. He says he wears the bucket and the FUNERAL bumper stick to remember the genocide committed by KFC each year.

No matter what your stance is on the chicken industry, it doesn't change the fact that this dude can play. You probably remember this as an unlockable track from the Guitar Hero 2 game.
