Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Lights by Journey. This classic is the opening track off of the band's 1978 album Infinity. This was the first album to feature Steve Perry on vocals and began the era of mainstream success for the band.
Steve Perry originally wrote this song about L.A. before joining the band. The original lyrics were "and the sun shines on LA". When Perry moved to San Francisco to the join the band he changed it to "and the sun shines on the bay".
The fro and fu manchu combination in this video is fantastic. Especially the solo.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
