You're the best, around! Nothing's ever going to keep you down!
This Weekend's Wildcard is You're the Best brought to you by Joe Esposito. This is off of the Karate Kid soundtrack from 1984. It was used during the All-Valley Karate Championships montage.
The song was originally written for Rocky but it was eventually replaced by Eye of the Tiger. The director of Karate Kid liked it so much that he decided to use it in the movie. The song received criticism for the line "History repeats itself" since this was used in the kid's first tournament.
The song also made a strong return in the South Park episode The Losing Edge where Randy get's in fights at all of the boys' little league baseball games.
Here is the Randy Scene. "I thought this was Amurica"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
