Today's Metal Track is Beyond the Realms of Death by Judas Priest. This is off of their 1978 album Stained Glass. This was the band's heaviest album at the time and is touted as a highly influential album in the speed metal and thrash genres. This song is remarkable for it's dual solos (First one by Glenn Tipton and second by KK Downing) and Halford's great vocal performance.
This album was the first to feature the current Judas Priest logo which replaces the former gothic script logo used on the previous albums.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
