Today's Metal Track is March of the Poozers by Devin Townsend Project. This is off of Dark Matters which is the second disc of his latest double album Z². This concept album is a sequel to his 2007 solo album Ziltoid the Omniscient. I think the the Dark Matters album is outstanding and extremely fun to listen to.
I'm still learning about the storyline to this album but I think the Poozers are controlled by the War Princess who sent them through the wormhole to attack Earth and exact revenge on Ziltoid. He had kidnapped one of the Poozers and taken him to Earth but he let him escape. The Poozer also tell the War Princess about coffee and they decide they want to steal all of it.
The Poozers are both cute and ugly at the same time. The part 25 seconds in is hilarious.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
