Today's Metal Track is Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne. This classic is the title and opening track off of his 1983 album by the same name. The song is about a creature that attacked a town, was killed, and returned to life to attack the town again. However, the video portrays a scientist (Ozzy) who drinks a potion in his lab that causes him to turn into a werewolf. The album cover features Ozzy in this same werewolf costume.
This song was written by Jake E. Lee and Bob Daisley but Sharon Osbourne threaten to fire them from the band if they didn't sign over their rights to the song. So they did. One of the many 'not so cool' things Sharon has done over the years.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
