Today's Metal Track is To Sirius by Gojira. This is kind of the title track off of their 2005 concept album From Mars to Sirius. The track preceding this one on the album is From Mars. The album is about the resurrection of a dead planet through an interplanetary quest. Sirius is the brightest star system in the the Earth's sky. The music video cuts out part of the song. I guess they just wanted to shorten it.
Now from a solar system
To another I fly
I come with life in my veins
Through darkened space I ran
I left a struggle behind
And faced the fear that's alive
I lost a world and traveled
Straight across from the sky
To find the gates of the heart
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
