Today's Metal Track is My Famed Disappearing Act by Thank You Scientist. I just saw these guys for the first time this past Saturday when they opened for Periphery at Cat's Cradle. Their use of brass instruments and a violin mixed with metal is very cool. This is off of their debut album Maps of Non-Existent Places which came out last October.
These guys are on Claudio Sanchez's (Coheed and Cambria) label Evil Ink. You can see why he likes them. If you like Coheed and Cambria, you'll like these guys.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
