The last few Sundays in church we've been reading through the book of Exodus and it always reminds me of today's Metal Track. Creeping Death talks about the 10 plagues that Moses, through God, laid on the Egyptians. Turns out the Bible is pretty Metal at times lol.
"Now
Let my people go, land of goshen
Go
I will be with thee, bush of fire
Blood
Running red and strong, down the Nile
Plague
Darkness three days long, hail to fire"
Our preacher also talked about how slow God moved at times and specifically noted the Hebrews being subjected to slavery by the Egyptians for 400 hundred years.
"Slaves
Hebrews born to serve, to the pharaoh
Heed
To his every word, live in fear
Faith
Of the unknown one, the deliverer
Wait
Something must be done, four hundred years"
This is Creeping Death off of Metallica's 1984 album Ride the Lightning.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
